꩜ Inspiration

The inspiration for the Skibidi Vibe Map came from the chaotic and absurd humor found in brainrot memes and internet culture. The project is designed to be a fun and engaging distraction, offering users random, nonsensical tasks that provide a break from productivity (keeping it out of the most deepest backroom humor... for now).

꩜ What it does

Skibidi Vibe Map generates random task suggestions paired with memes. It is meant to distract users by providing humorous and surreal content, ensuring that productivity is never the goal.

꩜ How I built it

I built the project using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in VSC. The functionality was driven by JavaScript for generating random tasks and memes, while CSS was used to style the page and create interactive elements. Animations were added using CSS transitions to bring life to the page. ChatGPT worked hard under my polite and relentless prompts.

꩜ Challenges I ran into

One of the main challenges was ensuring that meme images displayed correctly and integrating them into the random task generation seamlessly, and incorporating interactive elements like the moving button without disrupting the site's functionality.

꩜ Accomplishments that I'm proud of

For a first project, I'm proud of the overall concept, blending randomness, memes, and interactivity into a coherent, very useless user experience! I'm also very happy about the song "Brainrot Blues" I made with Suno and how I was able to edit the demovideo, I've never done something like that before.

꩜ What I learned

I’ve learned so much throughout this project—honestly, about everything! To mention a few, I refreshed skills on git and github, how a basic website is built, how to edit a video, how to come up with an idea and decide what to do with it solo, how to actually have fun instead of sweating... It feels great to pick up all these new skills while having an absolute blast doing it! And most importantly I can now speak fluent skibidi fr fr

꩜ What's next for Skibidi Vibe Map

The next step is to enhance the user interface by adding more customization options, such as the ability to choose different types of tasks or themes for the memes. Adding more brainrotty visuals. I also plan to improve the sites responsiveness and add more random meme content to keep it freshy fresh. Also some picture size issues might need to be taken more seriously. Could add a calendar feature to make it an actual planner!
