Inspiration

The inspiration came from coloring books which i wanted to make using ai, but after looking up online, there were already plenty of drawing coloring pages maker web app, but i loved this idea a little too much and wanted to build upon it, then my girlfriend introduced me to this mood tracking calendar niche that i had never heard of and at first it did seem little unusual but also unique and with time i understood what was the purpose of this mood tracking calendar.

What it does

Currently, it takes your loved precious memories or pitctures you like and turn them into a black and while outlined illustration fit as a calendar which you can download as image or pdf for a month or whole year at once. There are currently 4 types of templates in it, within which the sunflower one is still in beta, while others work perfectly.

How we built it

Built it using Nextjs, Big thanks to great capabilities of Blackforest's kontext dev image to image model which made this project come to life, and another major credit goes to the claude ai model involved which helped me as the the most productive tool for building this project.

Challenges we ran into

The major challenge was setting up correct structure of calendar view, turns out frontend is really not that easy and the other hurdle was making downloads working, which work perfectly now.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This turned out to be way more interesting project than I actually thought, with little time on hand, im ready proud to make this project in such a short time with fully working capability focused on a specific unique niche instead of getting lost in similar webapps.

What we learned

I learned that, ai is evolving faster than we can catch up, it would really define the future in a way we probably had not thought of reaching so soon, another major thing I learned is to take some help of your partners if they offer it instead of thinking "I can do it all by myself"

What's next for Coloring2Heal

The next part of Coloring2heal is to support different devices and add a coloring platform so users can color it digitally if they dont want to print the calendar, and also need to add a way for people to save their calendars online or on their device, which they can reopen and customize.
