Inspiration
We wanted to create a game where people could have fun trying to speedrun levels while using movement mechanics like swinging and sliding. The ability to maintain momentum while going through levels was important to us.
What it does
Players can go through five levels and have fun swinging around them like an ancient Egyptian Spider-Man.
How we built it
The game was built with Unity while models were made with Maya and textured with Substance Designer and Substance Painter.
Challenges we ran into
Our main challenge was making the game and levels actually fun to play through, and I'd say we were able to do so.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that the game is genuinely fun to play, with people competing with each other to get the best times.
What we learned
Over the course of the project we learned a lot about teamwork and what it takes to make a whole game from scratch. We also learned that it's important to enjoy your work and what your doing.
What's next for Skedaddling In Egypt | In-Game Art Implementation
We'd like to continue polishing the game for a bit before a full on Steam release.
