Inspiration

We were interested in the technical intricacies behind this project and what it involved. The field of machine learning was of interest to all of us hence, we applied this knowledge to the code involved.

What it does

Outputs some tracks based upon input data.

How we built it

We used several interfaces in the development of this project. The front end was done in Javascript while the back end was coded for in Python.

Challenges we ran into

We couldn't figure out the most optimal algorithm for the machine learning part initially. Spotify API stopped working one hour before submission.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We build a fully fledged mobile website complete with all the appropriate working connections. We also implemented a complex machine learning algorithm from scratch taking all factors of the song into account.

What we learned

We learnt machine learning, graph algorithms, frameworks, AI, matrix vectorization and utilization of APIs.

What's next for Siren Search

We are going to develop a cryptocurrency.
