We were getting bored of the same concoction of gin and tonic. Our creative ideas of mixing bourbon with green tea were made fun off! We decided to create a custom website for our outlier consumers, and most importantly find resource for their desired drinks.
The website lets you choose ingredients for fruit, juice, syrup and choice of alcohol. And then curates a custom drink for you. It finds the nearest bar serving that drink. You can add YOUR drinks to a leaderboard and have other connoisseurs vote for you. The rank board shows the top 5 drinks of the day, and their recipes.
We Used HTML, CSS, and Javascript to build the website.
We ran into technical difficulties as this is the first time working with Javascript. Given more time, we could have added more condiments, and diversity to our website, as well as relevant information. We also wanted to implement location based service for our website.
We are proud to have our front end function the way we want it to, and have our idea come to life.
We learned team building, and working together in git as a team. We ran into conflicts about aesthetics but eventually resolved it.
We want Sipscout to be inclusive in many more ways. Halal, Kosher, gluten free, you name it. We want to curate food and beverages for you based on YOUR choices.
