Sinque

Inspiration

We've all had those days where we want to change a music track while in the shower or while jogging/exercising hands free. So we added continuous voice control to it!

I worked with the Spotify Web API using Python. Doing this enabled the project to be able to control devices and make queries about the user. Worked with Aneesh to create server endpoints for the mobile app to send requests to.

I focused on using IBM's Watson to process the speech to text input and determine intent. It was not the most straightforward thing to navigate and determining what would and would not properly train the classifier was tricky. Over successive iterations I learned how to create examples that would throw the software and how to train it to successfully handle tricky cases. The code also processes the Json objects returned by the watson API calls to determine the correct Spotify command.

I worked on the client side code using an android device. My taks consistaed of reading documentation on Voice to Text and implenting client side code to connect with our Spotify integration.
