Problem
Singaporeans who have lived overseas for an extended period of time may need help adjusting to Singapore as Singapore has evolved over the years. Additionally, information regarding moving to Singapore (for Foreigners) are often found in blogs or travel sites that may not provide the best source of information.
What it does
- Personalised Tracker - Progress bar to track and remind you of the application forms the user is required to fill up before moving to Singapore.
- Information Hub - Consolidated information that uses Geolocation to determine the forms necessary for the user to fill up as well as frequently asked questions by applicants from the region.
- Quick-links to Streamline Applications - Links to download forms are readily provided and can be filled up within the app to streamline the application process.
- Tailored Recommendations - A fun quiz to help users determine which part of Singapore suits their needs best.
- Highlight Reel of Singapore - A slideshow of important milestones/news of Singapore based on the year the user left Singapore/is interested in knowing. This provides the user more context to Singapore's culture and pop culture, allowing them to assimilate better when they arrive.
- Social Platform to make New Connections - A meetup section to help new residents in Singapore get to know their neighbours and make new friends based on interests or from origin country so they can truly call Singapore their home.
What is interesting about SINGHOME
"Sing" in Mandrin can be translated to "New", which is very apt for new residents making Singapore their New Home!
What's next for SINGHOME
- For the initial stage, we have done a high-fidelity prototype of the application on Figma. We are working on developing the application as we speak.
