Inspiration

We have a vision for a better Singapore. We imagine a Singapore where the people's needs are taken care of. But we can not leave the infrastructure development up to chance. Like all great cities, a better planning ensures a better future for it's residents. A plan backed when thought of is a good plan, and when backed by data it is a great plan.

What it does

Our demo helps visualize the trends in the demographics and how they have changed over time for different areas. Of course there are lots of visualizations that have just explained what have happened in the past. We cater to a special purpose - that is to predict what would be needed.

How we built it

We gathered census data from a lot of sources, connected them to available infrastructure data sources and built a prototype where we could visualize the infrastructure needs of Singapore

Challenges we ran into

Gathering the "Right" type of data that is segmented area wise and year wise for Singapore was a key challenge. We were able to get past this by brainstorming together and investing a lot of time to it.
