Inspiration The Problem: The current financial landscape offers generic calculators, but not guidance. Users are overwhelmed by static tools that only tell them "no" or offer generic advice when dealing with complex goals like loans or savings.
The Goal: To transform the user experience from calculating passive numbers to simulating an active, personalized financial roadmap.
What it does SimuFi is an AI-powered financial simulator that moves users from financial confusion to confidence by:
Deep Personalization: Securely analyzes the user's real-time spending distribution (e.g., Subscriptions, Restaurants, Transport).
Scenario Simulation: Takes a complex goal (e.g., buying a car under $20k with a $300/month payment) and simulates a personalized solution.
Actionable Roadmaps: When a user can't afford a goal (e.g., initial $514 payment), it generates a precise, actionable strategy (e.g., save $274/month by optimizing spending) to reach the target ($300/month payment).
AI-to-Agent Handoff: Packages the precise financial simulations and recommended steps and hands them off to a human agent, turning the advisor into a pre-informed financial coach.
How we (will) build it
Data Integration Layer: Simulated the connection to banking systems using secure APIs to access and analyze the user's accounts (Checking balance of $5,230.80, Credit Card balance of $850.15-) and categorize spending.
Simulation Engine (The AI): Used a predictive modeling approach to calculate loan scenarios (e.g., $20,000 loan at 6.5% APR over 36 months) and project CD account growth (e.g., 24 months at 2.4% APR).
Optimization Algorithm: Developed logic to analyze the spending distribution and suggest precise monthly savings (e.g., $274) by identifying target categories (Restaurants, Subscriptions, Transport).
Visualization: Built clear, intuitive graphs to show the user's journey, including Principal Balance Over Time, Interest vs. Principal Paid, and CD Account Growth.
