What it does
Simply Symptoms, a web-based platform that allows patients to input any symptoms they may be experiencing and receive possible conditions as well as suggestions for medications they may take.
How we built it
Python, Streamlit, OpenFDA API, Gemini API
Challenges we ran into
Had to work with limited data sets and struggled to find reliable and accessible sources for medical data. We explored external healthcare API’s, however due to the time constraint and limited accessibility, we pivoted and decided to incorporate Gemini AI.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We learned to prioritize accessibility through user centered design as well as adapt to the limited resources available.
