Simplifying Sustainability

Inspiration

We got inspiration from using google lens in our day to day life to identify objects. We initially used it as a fun way to pass time.

What it does

The app will be able to recognize objects using computer vision. After recognizing these objects it will go suggest ideas on how to upcycle the product. There will be an additional dropdown menu with tips on how to recycle the product in accordance with local guidelines. If we are unable to find these guidelines, we will suggest general tips.

How we built it

We were not able to build the app within the time limit. We have a UI representation of the app.

Challenges we ran into

We came up with several different ideas to increase sustainability but we were unable to find one that had not been built before.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of making a UI design and presentation.

What we learned

We learned how to design UI.

What's next for Simplifying Sustainability

We will actually build this project and utilize CV to make it a reality.
