Medical non-adherence can severely harm health. SimpliCare will solve that problem by being a caring, easy-to-use 'buddy' that reminds. motivates and helps patients stay on track, one day at a time.
The inspiration comes from the persistent issue of medication non-adherence, where about 50% of patients fail to follow prescribed regimens. This leads to worse health outcomes, particularly among older patients or those with complex medications schedules.
What it does
The app helps users stick to their medication schedule by sending reminders, offering personalized messages, trackings adherence, and providing motivational feedback. It also includes features like a chatbot to make the experience more engaging and supportive.
How we built it
We created mobile app where users input their prescriptions like name, dosage, schedules, etc. The app sets automated reminders, and a chatbot sends messages to motivate users. Basic notifications and a simple reporting system were also integrated.
