Inspiration
Andalucia’s stunning landscapes, countless travel routes, and our frustration with wasting time and money on suboptimal paths. We thought, “Why can’t routes be as spicy as Andalucian gazpacho but way more efficient?”
What it does
Simple Optimal Route finds the best cost-effective path between two points in Andalucia. No detours, no surprises—just pure, unadulterated optimal routing.
How we built it
With the power of Python for the logic, PostgreSQL for robust data handling, and caffeine for morale. Lots of caffeine.
Challenges we ran into
Convincing our code that Andalucia’s roads aren’t spaghetti and debugging queries that seemed to have their own flamenco rhythm.
What we learned
Routing is hard. Andalucia has too many charming paths. PostgreSQL, Python, and patience are the ultimate trio.
