Inspiration

According to the Food and Drug Administration, 50% of prescribed medicines aren’t taken as suggested by the doctor. The primary reason behind this is forgetfulness. We wanted to address this critical issue by creating a simple yet effective solution that helps people stay on track with their medications.

What it does

Our app allows users to create individual profiles to automate and track their medication dosages, ensuring they never miss a dose again. Users can also add medical reports, set reminders for healthy habits, and maintain consistency without constantly checking the clock. Additionally, for convenience, the app provides a predefined list of diseases under the report tab. The Android version is much simpler yet, still delivers necessary medication reminder.

How we built it

We designed the app with user-centric features to simplify the process of medication tracking. The development involved creating a seamless interface for users to input and monitor their medication schedules, with built-in reminders and disease tracking functionalities.

Challenges we ran into

One of the key challenges we faced was ensuring the app was intuitive for all age groups, especially for those who might not be tech-savvy. Balancing a simple design with the robustness of automated tracking posed a unique design challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have created a tool that can genuinely help improve the health and well-being of its users by reducing missed doses. Our app addresses a real-world problem and makes medication management easier and more accessible.

What we learned

Throughout the process, we learned the importance of simplicity in design, especially when catering to a diverse user base. We also gained deeper insights into the healthcare space, particularly the challenges patients face in managing medications.

Moving forward, we plan to integrate additional features such as real-time notifications for caregivers and compatibility with wearable devices to further enhance the user experience.
