Simple American Accent App

I'm an engineer and a native speaker of American English who's been obsessed with trying to sound like a native speaker in foreign languages since I was about 12 years old.

I have gotten very close to sounding like a native speaker in both Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish (especially Puerto Rican Spanish). In 2018 I quit my engineering job and started Simple American Accent to help Brazilians who are already advanced in English to get closer to an American accent. This way, I'm able to help them with the same journey I personally have been obsessing over, just in the opposite direction. I picked a very specific niche so I can hopefully create something great for a very specific use case.

After more than 500 Zoom calls with clients, I realized there were tons of patterns that repeated themselves across my clients... so I started moving my focus from 1:1 to group delivery, and building tech too.

I started developing my app as a solo developer in 2024 and am actively using it with tens of clients who have joined my accent mentorship program.
