Calendar-driven lighting for meeting rooms
We schedule and attend meetings almost every day at the office. With the help of intelligent sensors and your calendar, the system sets ideal lighting conditions automatically for your particular needs.
Calendars are used a lot to make things efficient, why not take a step further? Our hack connects to a Google calendar and lights up the meeting room beforehand, dims the light briefly as a sign that time is running out and eventually shuts down the lights. The hack also recognizes keywords in event descriptions, such as 'energetic' and adjusts the light intensity and colors accordingly.
We believe this makes the meetings more lively and enjoyable, increases productivity and mood.
The project Silent Lemon was done for a lighting challenge by Helvar on intelligent buildings track in Junction 2017.
