Inspiration
As second year Computing students, we spend the majority of our time in labs. As such we thought it would be interesting to make a horror game set in labs.
What it does
You wake up in labs after falling asleep working on Pintos. You discover that your teammates and everyone else in labs are gone. Furthermore, the labs look eerily different. You have find the computer that will allow you to escape the labs before Bob gets you.
How we built it
We used Blender to create the 3D models, and textured them in Substance Painter. We then imported the models into Unity where we implemented all the game mechanics.
Challenges we ran into
None of us had any prior experience with game development. As such learning and applying our knowledge in a short period of time was a challenge, but we are quite happy with the results.
What's next for Silence of the Labs
Make it a VR game!
