Inspiration: Awareness to ISL

With 1mil ISL communicators in the Indian subcontinent, there are plenty of challenges faced by communicators and learners alike, such as insufficient resources and awareness about ISL, regional inconsistencies in the dialects, etc.

Despite India's tech growth, some still lag behind, risking exclusion from the digital age. We hope to develop open-source apps implementing cross-platform development that reach these minorities who still face difficulty in the face of technology and make it accessible as well as beneficial to them in their everyday lives.

What it does

Signway - ​an​ innovative solution aimed at addressing this critical gap and to encourage education and connection within the ISL community. Signway serves as a comprehensive platform for learning and community building in ISL with the help of educational tools with social networking features. Goal

Our goal for Signway is to connect disparate ISL communities and build a sense of belonging and representation. This is important to us since one of the challenges faced by ISL communicators is the variations in sign dialect across the countries, owing to a lack of uniform resources as well as regional diversity. By providing a platform for users to share experiences, insights, and resources, Signway bridges geographical and cultural divides, creating a vibrant and inclusive ecosystem for ISL communicators.
