With the theme being improving the quality of life, we look to people who require aid such as the deaf.

We built a project involving machine learning and computer vision that recognizes facial detection and built another project to move the fingers of a robotic hand to make communication easier with the deaf.

Challenges included time constraints that prevented developing a tensor flow model and a hand recognition model.

We were able to get facial recognition working on a Raspberry Pi 3 board using the AlwaysAI model. We were also able to fully assemble a 3D-printed moving hand and connected it to the Pi as well.

Modifying and building upon AlwaysAI models is a challenging endeavor.

We hope to continue developing our tensor flow models and training algorithms to develop a well made hand recognition model.
