Inspiration

My cousin whom I used to live with when growing up, was diagnosed with hard of hearing. So my family and I decided to learn ASL to communicate with my cousin. If we had an app or site to learn ASL I feel the process would be more efficient because there are not too many sites or areas around us to learn sign language.

What it does

It uses AI and camera recognition to teach sign language to users.

How we built it

I used Figma to get the layout of my idea for the app/website. And I used ChatGPT and Grammarly to structure my wording better

Challenges we ran into

Elements to take into consideration when thinking about the idea. I had to think about types of languages in sign language, dialects, facial expressions how the AI would register it, the word order structure, and so on.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The layout of how I want to structure the site could still use improvement but I am happy with what I have created so far
