This project started out as an ambition as we were on the bus to coming to HackTheNorth. We wanted to take as much hardware and do something sensible with all the technology. Neville decided that we could do something involving sign language as he was making gestures with his hand. And thus SignLang was born. As many as 2 million people rely on sign language to communicate and now they will be able to communicate with the 7 billion people of the world. We are using a LeapMotion and a Myo in order to detect hand and arm movements and then using meSpeak to speak once the letter has been identified.
