Communication can be difficult for deaf and hearing individuals. We wanted to reduce this gap using AI and technology.
What it does
SignBridge translates Indian Sign Language into speech and spoken language into text, supporting two-way communication.
How we plan to build it
We propose using Python, OpenCV, MediaPipe and machine learning models for gesture recognition, along with speech recognition and text-to-speech technologies.
Challenges
Understanding hand gestures, recognizing continuous signs accurately and ensuring reliable real-time translation are key challenges.
