Inspiration
Modern teams spend countless hours inside chats, emails, meeting notes, and documents. Important tasks and decisions often get buried inside long conversations, causing missed follow-ups and reduced productivity. We wanted to build a solution that automatically transforms conversations into clear action items and insights, helping individuals and teams stay organized and focused.
What it does
SignalDesk AI is an AI-powered productivity assistant that analyzes conversations, emails, transcripts, and documents.
The platform automatically:
Generates concise summaries Extracts actionable tasks Assigns task priorities Detects urgency levels Provides key insights Suggests professional replies Tracks task completion Measures productivity through analytics dashboards
Instead of manually reviewing long conversations, users receive an instant intelligence report that helps them take action faster.
How we built it
We built SignalDesk AI using:
Next.js for the frontend and backend TypeScript for application logic Tailwind CSS for the user interface Supabase for database storage and task persistence Google Gemini AI for conversation analysis and intelligence generation Vercel for deployment
The system processes uploaded conversations and uses AI to generate summaries, action items, recommendations, priorities, and productivity insights. Completed tasks are tracked and reflected across the analytics dashboard and timeline system.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was designing a reliable workflow that converts unstructured conversations into structured and useful information.
