Inspiration

Road signs can be hilarious. I wanted a place where people could share funny signs and write creative captions together.

What it does

Players create 24-hour challenges with road sign photos, submit captions, vote on the funniest ones, and climb the leaderboard.

How we built it

React + Tailwind frontend, Node.js backend on Devvit with Redis. Added property-based testing to keep things reliable.

Challenges we ran into

Wikimedia rate-limited me hard while collecting images, so I manually curated 12 road signs to get started.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a complete game with voting, leaderboards, and a fun road-themed UI with animated cars driving across the footer.

What we learned

Got hands-on with Devvit's web framework, property-based testing, and designing game mechanics that work well in Reddit communities.

What's next for Sign Wit

More signs, user profiles, country-based categories, and social sharing so the best captions can go viral.
