Inspiration
We have this inspiration from our classmate who was using a translator to translate whatever the professor is saying because he had a hearing impairment.
What it does
It converts sign language to text live. So, if you are in front of the camera talking in the sign it will be giving you text. So, other people who don't know sign language can also understand. Which will be live.
How I built it
We used GCP(Google Cloud Platform), TensorFlow, training our model to recognize the alphabet, then integrate that model to javaScript to take live Input to convert it and giving feedback back.
Challenges I ran into
Integrating JavaSccipt to python file. Then reducing output delay and etc
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
What I learned
Integrating different files.
What's next for Sign Language Prediction
Integration of both ways. Like whenever a person speaking it will convert it into gifs or just hand sign
