To help users/tourists find hidden gem spots to avoid crowd, provide a richer experience and more intimate time with loved ones and family

We learned the hard way that this submission platform does not auto-save what is written. We would love the opportunity of getting hired so we can fix this problem.

Hidden Gem Explorer is a React-based web app designed to help tourists discover and share hidden gems. Users can add locations, rate them up to 5 stars, and vote for removals, while admins have the final approval on removals. Each location includes images, amenities, safety levels, and operating hours, with an interactive map for navigation.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

This does not auto save so everything we wrote and disappeared, and we found out close to submission time We had problems with pushing to git, connecting database, using firebase to create security.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

What we learned

We learned a lot from this experience. We learned of new software and frameworks that can be used to build software. We also learned about the different issues that might arise while using these software and how to fix most of them. One of our members also learnt to setup and create a setup a react frontend.
