Inspiration
The SHRAVP_IN project was inspired by the need to create a safer community for everyone, especially those who feel vulnerable when walking alone at night. We recognized that there are many situations where people could use some extra help, but there may not always be someone available to assist them. We wanted to create a solution that could connect volunteers with those in need, using the power of technology to make our communities safer and more supportive.
What it does
SHRAVP_IN is a mobile app that connects volunteers with people who need assistance or support when walking alone, especially at night. The app uses a combination of web 2.5 and web 3 technologies to create a user-friendly and secure platform that can be accessed from any mobile device. Users can request assistance from a nearby volunteer, who can provide help or support in a variety of ways, such as walking with them to their destination, providing a phone call to ensure safety, or contacting emergency services if needed. Volunteers can earn crypto rewards for their service, which can be exchanged for other cryptocurrencies or converted into fiat currency.
How we built it
To build the SHRAVP_IN app, we used a combination of web 2.5 and web 3 technologies. We built the app using React Native, a popular mobile app development framework, and integrated a range of features, such as real-time location tracking, messaging, and payment processing. We also used blockchain technology to create a secure and transparent platform that could provide users with peace of mind when using the app. To incentivize volunteers to join the platform, we created a system of rewards and badges that could be earned by completing certain tasks or providing assistance to those in need.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges we faced was designing a user-friendly and engaging interface that could appeal to a broad range of users. We conducted extensive user testing and feedback sessions to ensure that our app was intuitive and easy to use. Another challenge was ensuring the safety and security of our users. We implemented a range of security features, such as two-factor authentication, encryption, and multi-layered access controls, to protect our users' data and prevent unauthorized access.
