Inspiration

Books often begin with an idea, a memory, or a feeling. We wanted to make designing a book as exciting as imagining its story. ShowMyBook Studio was created to give everyone a creative space to bring their vision to life, even without professional design skills.

What it does

ShowMyBook Studio is an interactive 3D book design studio that lets users create personalized book covers from scratch or explore ready-made inspiration. Users can customize backgrounds, colors, fonts, text, stickers, and images, with an AI-generated art option to help bring their ideas to life. The 3D book view makes it easier to visualize the design from different surfaces.

How we built it

We focused on creating an engaging, hands-on design experience with a bold, minimal interface. The studio combines customizable design controls with an interactive 3D book preview, allowing users to experiment with their creativity and see their designs take shape.

Challenges we faced

One of the main challenges was bringing together creative freedom, a clear interface, and an engaging 3D experience without overwhelming users. We aimed to make the studio visually distinctive while keeping the design process intuitive and accessible.

What we learned

Building ShowMyBook Studio helped us explore creative UI/UX design, interactive 3D visualization, and ways to make digital tools feel more personal. We learned that a good design experience is not just about appearance—it is about giving users the freedom to express their ideas.

What's next

We envision expanding the studio with more templates, richer customization, improved AI artwork generation, and export options, helping users turn their imagination into book designs they can proudly call their own.

I contributed to the ideation, UI/UX design, and development of ShowMyBook Studio. I worked on creating an interactive 3D book design experience with customizable covers, backgrounds, typography, colors, stickers, and AI art features. I also focused on the visual design, user experience, and preparing the project for deployment and hackathon submission.I developed the concept for ShowMyBook Studio, defined its features and visual direction, and used Replit AI to help build the application. I guided the design goals, refined the project requirements, and worked on preparing the final prototype for deployment and hackathon submission.
