Shower Saver

We were inspired by the thought of aiding the average human to do something to help the environment; something simple, but beneficial. That's how we came up with the idea of the Shower Saver app. This app has a timer that the user can set, and is accompanied by an image of a cartoon tree that withers according to the length of the desired shower-time. Once the timer is set, the user can choose a playlist of music to listen to, and when it reaches the last minute of the set shower time, an alarm will go off as a warning. When the desired time is up, the music will stop completely. We are also including a basic statistical analysis of how the user's showering times average out over time, as well a list of some simple ways to conserve water in the shower and elsewhere. Because showering is something that people do daily, many different kinds of people will be able to use this app to monitor their shower-time and help the Earth that we live on (especially California, as it is in a major drought!).
