Inspiration
- The inspiration for "Show Off" stemmed from the desire to merge AR and blockchain technology, creating an engaging platform for users to interact with and showcase their digital assets. We aimed to enhance crypto accessibility, bridge the digital and physical worlds, leverage social media dynamics, showcase 3D NFTs, provide real-time crypto price feed.
What it does
- "Show Off" is a cutting-edge AR mobile app that brings crypto assets to life in the real world. Users can visualize and interact with their crypto tokens and NFTs in an immersive AR experience. The app supports multiple blockchain networks and integrated with protocols like Chainlink and Lens. Users can record videos of their AR interactions and share that on hey (Lenster).
AR Visualization of Crypto Assets
- The app uses AR technology to overlay crypto assets, including tokens and 3D NFTs, onto the real-world environment.
- Users can select specific crypto assets from their linked wallets to visualize in AR.
Balance Display and Live Price Feeds
- Users can access a dashboard within the app that displays the balances of their crypto tokens across different blockchain networks.
- Integration with Chainlink delivers live price feeds for crypto assets, granting users immediate access to real-time market data. Within the AR, users can interact with these, engaging in activities such as price prediction.
Recording and Saving Interactions
- The app allows users to record videos of up to 10 seconds in duration, capturing their AR interactions with crypto assets, including 3D NFTs.
- Recorded videos are saved locally to the device gallery for immediate viewing and sharing.
Lens Protocol Integration and Social Sharing
- Users can link their Lens Protocol handle to their account within the app, connecting their social identity
- This integration facilitates social sharing and enables users to flex their crypto assets within their hey (lenster) account
Blockchain Integration for Security and Data Storage
- Generated Video links will be stored on deployed contract
- Smart contracts deployed on blockchain networks such as zkSync mainnet, Sepolia, and Polygon zkEVM Cardano testnet handle various functionalities within the app

How we built it

Challenges we ran into
- Achieving smooth and accurate AR rendering of crypto assets, particularly 3D NFTs, demanded significant optimization of the viro-react.
- Integration of Lens protocol in React Native Expo along side various dependencies.
- Integrating multiple blockchain networks, such as zkSync mainnet, zkSync Sepolia, and Polygon zkEVM Cardano testnet, posed challenges in deploying complex smart contracts and ensuring secure, decentralized storage of recorded video links.
- Real-time data integration from Chainlink for live price feeds required meticulous synchronization between backend and frontend components to ensure data accuracy in the AR environment.
- Ensuring compatibility and optimization across a wide range of mobile devices with varying hardware capabilities proved to be a significant challenge, particularly in achieving consistent AR performance.
- Designing and implementing the recording feature posed technical challenges, including optimizing video capture performance within the AR environment, managing storage requirements, and ensuring seamless integration with the overall user experience.
