Inspiration

Short-form content is rarely blocked by ideas. It is usually blocked by the repetitive work between idea and upload: picking a hook, shaping a 30-60 second script, planning shots, writing captions, remembering brand voice, and tracking the piece through editing and posting.

ShortsFlow Studio was built as a practical creator operations dashboard for that gap. It helps creators and small teams turn one raw idea, transcript, product note, newsletter, podcast, or webinar into a complete short-form production pack.

What it does

The app gives creators a compact workspace with:

  • A dashboard for content pipeline status
  • A content pack generator for hooks, scripts, shot lists, overlays, captions, hashtags, title ideas, and checklists
  • A production board for Idea, Script, Filming, Editing, Scheduled, and Posted stages
  • A brand kit for voice, CTA, banned words, audience notes, and recurring hashtags
  • Analytics notes for manually tracking views, likes, comments, saves, and link clicks

The goal is to make the output immediately useful for production, not just generate a generic script.

How I built it

I built the app with MeDo by starting from a product prompt that described the creator workflow, key screens, data model, and dashboard interaction patterns. MeDo generated the requirement document, then produced a full app with multiple screens, realistic sample projects, local workflow state, and a polished dark creator-ops interface.

The published build runs as a public MeDo app and requires no login for the demo.

What makes it useful

The strongest part is the content pack flow. A creator can move from source material to a complete production handoff: hook variants, final script, scene beats, overlay text, caption copy, hashtags, thumbnail/title options, and a filming/editing checklist.

That is the difference between "AI wrote me something" and "I can actually make the short now."

Challenges

The main challenge was shaping the app so it felt like an operational creator tool rather than a landing page. The workflow needed dense, scannable UI: dashboard counts, tables, boards, editable brand notes, and real status movement.

What's next

Future versions could add YouTube transcript import, automatic content pack export, social scheduling, team collaboration, and real analytics integrations for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, and X.
