Shorts Niche Analyzer

Inspiration

Egor has 2 years of experience in social media and especially in youtube and he told us about his problems in youtube field and then he told us the idea and Artiom and Nikolas immediately agreed because we clearly saw its potential. Before that we pivoted 2 our ideas because we couldnt make one and for another there wasnt a big problem so people wouldnt pay for our solution.

What it does

Shorts Niche Analyzer is an automated tool that analyzes YouTube Shorts niches using real performance data and calculates a viability score (0–100). Users simply enter a niche keyword, and the system automatically finds the top 10 most relevant channels in that niche and evaluates how strong the niche is.

How we built it

Firslty we created web with lovable, landing page, sing in/ register page and main page, then created formula for niche evaluation, than added youtube API and google cloud oAuth APIS for sign in with Gmail, than we vibe coded with lovable on which information will show in results after someone wrote a niche, then we wroked on design and polished how everything looks like and bam thats it.

Challenges we ran into

Because youtube API is limited 10000 units per 24 hours, firstly 1 search cost was 1000 units (it means that search could be used only 10 times in 24 hours but then we experimented and reduced costs per search to only 100 units per search (10 time more) so now our website can do around 100 searches per 24 hours. WOW. And one more challenge at one moment we wrote text in lovable but lovable didnt change anything in code but we didnt do anything in lovable for about 1 hour and it magically fixed.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Optimization which let our website user search not 10 searches per 24 hours but 100 searches per 24 hours (when we made did we were like REALLY happy trust me :DD)

What we learned

we learned about lots of different vibe coding tools like lovable, screen-studio bolt-new. We learned how to clearly tell AI what we need and want to be added/changed, how add APIs and how important is to secure information on website and that is not easy.
