Inspiration

As Stanford freshmen, we quickly learned that independence is a double-edged sword. We arrived on the Farm chasing dreams of startups and AI, often getting swept up in the "Stanford bubble"—the late nights at Green Library, the rush of weekend parties, and the pressure to build something "world-changing." In that whirlwind, the very people who made our journey possible—our parents—often become background characters in our new lives. We were inspired by that sudden, quiet realization that while we are growing up and moving forward, they are back home, aging and waiting for a simple "hello." This film is a reflection of that guilt, that love, and the bridge between two worlds.

What it does

This story is an inspiring short film that highlights our parents' unconditional love for us.

How we built it

We used Gemini to generate our script and images of our characters and scenes. Then, we used Pixverse on GMI cloud to create scenes.

Challenges we ran into

Our biggest challenge was writing effective prompts.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Emotional Resonance: Crafting a narrative that moves beyond just "cool visuals" to tell a poignant story about the "Fluency-Confidence Gap"—not just in language, but in the emotional communication between generations.
