Inspiration

During covid 19 were risking their lives to get groceries every week. This is a way to minimize people traveling and a way to keep people

What it does

It minimizes the number of people traveling. It acts as a hub to where people can post their grocery lists and a hub of shoppers who can take these lists and buy and deliver these items to these item. Drivers can make some extra money while users can minimize covid exposure

How we built it

Google cloud is used as a webserver, website is written in HTML, backend code is written in python, and Djano is being used as the web framework

Challenges we ran into

Creating and managing databases was difficult, and using a cloud server to host our code was proved to be difficult

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting a working website felt very great

What we learned

Learned how to work with databases, using django as a framework, and working with apis

What's next for shoptmate

we want to create an application for the phone to increase the convenience of using this application
