Inspiration
Online shopping can be confusing when users have many products to choose from and a limited budget. I wanted to create a simple tool that helps people discover suitable products.
What it does
ShopSmart AI is a shopping assistant prototype with product search, category filters, budget filtering, keyword-based recommendations, and basic product comparison.
How I built it
I used Python and Flask for the backend and HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the user interface. A sample product catalog powers the search and recommendation features.
Challenges
One challenge was making product discovery simple and responsive. This prototype helped me practice connecting a frontend to backend routes and building an interactive interface.
What's next
I plan to explore real product data, improve recommendations, and integrate an AI model where permitted by the hackathon rules.
