As online commerce rapidly evolves, small sellers and independent creators face a huge challenge: creating constant high-quality marketing visuals, script prompts, and managing stock synchronization across platforms. Large businesses have full marketing teams and enterprise tools, but solo sellers waste dozens of hours every week handling these processes manually. We built ShopPulse AI to level the playing field by combining AI-powered visual/content generation with real-time inventory management.

What it does

ShopPulse AI is an all-in-one assistant for digital sellers and affiliates. It provides:

• Automated Visual Content: Instantly generates high-converting promotional graphics and short-form video prompts tailored to modern aesthetics.
• Smart Inventory Tracking: Uses SQL-backed database monitoring to sync stock levels and trigger alerts before popular products sell out.
• AI Copywriter & Assistant: Generates engaging product descriptions, video scripts, and quick customer responses.

How we built it

• Frontend: Built with React and Tailwind CSS for a clean, responsive, and intuitive dashboard.
• Backend: Node.js and Python (FastAPI) handling API requests and server-side processing.
• Database: SQL/PostgreSQL for fast, relational data management and inventory tracking.
• AI Integration: Powered by the Gemini API for natural language processing, script generation, and prompt optimization, alongside image generation endpoints for marketing assets.

Challenges we ran into

• API Rate Limits & Latency: Generating high-resolution media and dynamic scripts simultaneously created minor bottlenecks, which we solved by implementing asynchronous background jobs.
• Data Synchronization: Mapping live inventory updates across seller endpoints while maintaining low-latency state changes required optimizing complex relational queries.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• Successfully creating a working prototype that bridges real-world seller operations (inventory control) with generative AI tools.
• Designing a sleek, intuitive UI that allows even non-technical users to launch an AI marketing campaign in under two minutes.

What we learned

• Modern generative AI is drastically more effective when combined with real-time structured data like inventory levels and seller analytics.
• Optimizing prompt engineering specifically for e-commerce conversion rates makes a massive difference in generated output quality.

What's next for ShopPulse AI

• Expanding direct API integrations with major social commerce platforms like TikTok Shop and Shopify.
