Inspiration
Many people want to attend sales and discount offers in-store, whether it be black Friday or boxing day. But a recent study has shown that people spend about more than 30 min on average to decide where to buy their items, and which store to go first. Witnessing this issue we decided to make Shoppresso.
What it does
Shoppresso is an application that can help you seamlessly track and save time on your in-store shopping. Using it's powerful search engine users can look for items they want to purchase in-store and save it as a Shoppresso card. Then the users can go to their cards section that shows all the items that the users can purchase and the users can select which items they want to purchase for that day. They can then click the maps button that takes them on to a map that shows them which store they should go to first in order to save time. Users also have the option to open the navigation in google maps.
How we built it
We built the front-end using the angular framework with ionic. The back-end was built node.js and express. The navigation functionality was made using google's map API, google's places API, and was deployed on the google cloud platform. The user credentials and store cache was stored using mongodb. The search functionality is built using the Beautiful Soup library.
