Inspiration

Sometimes when we look for stuff online and get recommended some items on google by the gemini prompt, it was facinating to see it seach the web for our needs even if it wasnt so accurate and took a number of prompts before it found anything we wanted.

Also with so much e-commerce nowaday, we felt it would be a facinating experience to develop a tool that can help us shop at a specific online store almost like shopping at a local store but now the experience is similar online.

What it does

Our project helps people find the fashion product they are looking for with human language prompts like talking to a sales assistant at a local store rather than some filters online.

How we built it

We first planned out the skeleton of what we wanted, the program flow and how we intended to tackle some of the main challenges involved in this path. Then we put together a well structured prompt and gave it to claude to generate the first iteration of our project. After running it and fixing some bugs manually and with the help of claude, we got a semi working product. After finishing we ensured that the build was accessible for the hackathon submission.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges we had was ensuring we were able to link the initial logic structure and implementing the AI. Also when trying to export the project as an executable we ran into multiple errors where some files could not be located etc.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

As a freshman team with 0 hackathon experience and little experience with online repos like Github and the usage of git to control versioning for safe testing, we are very happy to have finished with a working project and able to submit something to the best of our ability in the given timeframe.

What we learned

We learned how to use Git and Github, implement AI directly into our coding workflow to help us speed up our development speed. We learned how to properly use APIs to AI and how to manage tokens. In the process we also got some inspiration to build other AI applications with our newfound knowledge on AI APIs.
