Inspiration: We decided to design ShopIt to help founders face the problem of finding the correct materials needed for prototyping. Such process of finding the right items with limited funding and the need for exact specifications can be time consuming and difficult to do.

What it does: Our application provides a search engine that provides recommendations about products, recommends vendors, and provides pros and cons for each product in relation to the inputted specifications.

How we built it: Our application uses a local deepSeek LLM model with specifed prompts to take in user input and provides reasoning for its recommendations.

Challenges we ran into: Coming up with our initial idea and identifying problems that founders face. UI implementation and scalability.
