  Shopify VR Store Game

Inspiration

Our inspiration came about learning from the overall experience that come from being a shop owner, thus we attempted to create a game that gives users the chance to have fun while being an owner of their own virtual Shopify store.

What it does

The game focuses on creating a fun and creative environment for a new Shopify owner, by testing the speed and skills of users when it comes to supporting the packaging procedure of their store.

How we built it

We built the game from scratch using GitLab, unreal engine 4 and C++. We derived our concept from simple games like those similar to building a pizza, were a user receives an order and is told to recreate the client's order. However, instead of a pizza, we used boxes and futuristic items to fulfill our client's orders.

Challenges we ran into

Conceptually, it was very difficult to code in Virtual Reality using Unreal Engine 4, given that our backgrounds came from other fields other than that of VR. However, although we struggled, we managed to almost complete the entire project.

What's next for Shopify - VR Experience

We believe that VR is the next big thing when it comes to the Shopify experience!
