Inspiration

ShopGreen was created to solve the challenge of finding sustainable and local shops for everyday shopping. We empower eco-conscious consumers to make sustainable purchasing decisions and support local businesses, bridging the gap between consumers and sustainable food producers.

What it does

ShopGreen is a straightforward platform that empowers consumers to make a positive environmental impact through their local purchasing choices. By connecting users with nearby sustainable food producers, ShopGreen simplifies the process of finding and supporting local businesses. Users can easily access fresh and seasonal groceries while reducing their carbon footprint and promoting sustainable agriculture.

How we built it

ShopGreen was built collaboratively by a diverse team, combining different skills and expertise. We created an intuitive progressive web application that offers a seamless user experience on both mobile and desktop devices. Our focus was on addressing the core problem and understanding the needs of our user groups.

Challenges we ran into

Each member of our team had to tackle their individual challenges. Whether is was to handle startup databases, organizing the development on 3 different applications at once, using a new framework or agreeing to streamline the MVPs features and business presentation. But together, we were able to support each other and finish our MVP in time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully developed an MVP that showcases our business idea. Our team combined different technology stacks and created two separate Progressive Web Apps, enabling cross-platform usage on multiple devices for two different user groups. Each team member contributed their strengths, whether it was designing a user-friendly interface, coding the backend structure, or bringing the user interface to life. We are excited about the real-life potential of our idea, as it benefits both parties involved.

Building ShopGreen was a transformative journey for our team. We gained valuable insights into the complexities of merging different technology stacks, the importance of user-centric design, and the power of technology in driving positive change. We learned to solve challenges as a team, collaborate effectively, and develop a feasable business idea.
