Shop with a Cause

Inspiration

One of our team members did a project on the environmental and socioeconomic impacts of fast fashion and was inspired to adapt it into a programming format.

What it does

We help online consumers by ranking fashion brands based on sustainability, we educate them through videos that call to light of the realities of fast fashion, and we provide them with ways to create an outfit that minimizes waste.

How we built it

We used html, css, and javascript to create a webpage. More specifically we used css flexbox as well.

Challenges we ran into

It was tough to execute some of our ideas as we are beginners when it comes to programming, as well as the 24 hour time limit.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to turn our idea into a functional website.

What we learned

We learned how to create a website and learned more about the coding languages (HTML, CSS, Javascript).

What's next for Shop with a Cause

We intend to get our filter/ranking system feature to be more functional.
