Inspiration
We know how hard and stressful shopping for friends and family can be so we wanted to make a website that helps make that process a bit easier.
What it does
It provides the user with a "perfect gift" via link after they have submitted answers to a few questions about the interests of the person receiving the gift.
How I built it
We built it in Javascript within HTML
Challenges I ran into
We are somewhat inexperienced with running Javascript in HTML and as such, had problems bringing variables out of Javascript to be used in HTML and were not able to get the link to properly display itself on the webpage after the quiz is completed.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We are very proud of the layout of the webpage and how everything looks. We are also proud of our teamwork and hard work that kept us motivated throughout the long hours of this Hackathon.
What I learned
Some of our team members never knew HTML and some never knew Javascript before this Hackathon so it was a nice learning experience as we all learned about different languages together. Also, this was the perfect environment to learn about problem solving in code as we debugged our code and ensured things ran smoothly.
What's next for Shop Don't Drop
Hopefully figuring out how to get the link to show up on the webpage!
