Inspiration
Our inspiration for this project was to create a website where people could efficiently donate to teens in foster care.
What it does
The website contains images of clothes that can be donated to teens, and all they would need to do is add the item(s) to their shopping cart, choose which teen to send it to, and we would automatically input said teen's address from our database.
How we built it
We used html and css in Visual Studio.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges we ran into were attaching hyperlinks/making links clickable, debugging code for hours, and in general trying to learn languages we've never used before in order to make our website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of making a fun and creative website that showcases our newfound coding skills.
What we learned
We learned that making a website is one thing, but making is functional and aesthetic is another.
What's next for Shop 4 Teens
We want to add a shopping cart feature and allow the user to choose from a list of teens in need, and the clothing item would be directly shipped to said teen in need using the address we have in our system.
