Shoot Your Shot

Inspiration

As women in the tech industry it is easy to be discouraged due to the gender gap as well as imposter syndrome, so our app is made to help keep users on track and encourage them to improve themselves, while not feeling hopeless.

What it does

It keeps track of your goals, progress, and accomplishments. Goals can be broken down into smaller short-term goals, which allows users to more easily show progress.

How we built it

Lots of Java. Incredibly a large amount of Java. Figma was used for UI/UX design for visual flow of the application.

Challenges we ran into

Challenges included working on new platforms outside of our expertise. This led to some nullpointer exceptions, etc. which are not commonly found in Java.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We got a list that is able to expand to show subgoals, and the experiences we shared! We were also able to build the basic UX/UI wireframing necessities of the app thanks to Figma.

What we learned

Front end, app development, basic UI/UX design was everything we learned.

What's next for Shoot Your Shot

Hopefully we can progress and improve this project!
