Inspiration

There are bad ideas everywhere around the world and sometimes people cling to them so we decided to be the ones that have to bring them down to earth and show them why their ideas are shite. The name appeared on Murphy's mind at 2AM as he was trying to sleep so we set on it.

What it does

By giving our website an idea, we will try to match it with our data and show you either what people say about it or we will just tell you why it's a bad idea.

How we built it

Our front-end is made using jQuery, HTML & CSS. Back-end is made using Python and Flask for communication between front-end and back-end.

Challenges we ran into

One of our members dropped out on the first day so that put a little bit more pressure on ourselves. Also Flask decided to act weird and not work but after a few hours of bug fixing we managed to pull through.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Making a beautiful (in our opinion) front-end and manage to connect and cooperate it with the back-end.

What we learned

How to use new technologies that we haven't touched before as well as using APIs efficiently.

What's next for Shite or Bright

To broaden our database and make it available for more topics.
