Inspiration
We wanted to connect hackers that had company shirt A with other fellow makers who have company shirt B. The mutual interest allows for a fun trade to collect different tech shirts.
What it does
This app is the Tinder for company shirts. Swipe left for a no, and swipe right to express your interest. If there's a match, you can start talking about potentially trading shirts!
How I built it
The application was built with Android-Studio. It uses Parse as the database and Firebase as the means for messaging.
Challenges I ran into
Besides the time constraint, 2 of the 3 members of the team are first time hackathon attendees and 2 of the 3 members attempted to make their first Android app today.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Having made a fun application that the team can speak of for quite some time.
What I learned
Android development is pretty fun and we all hope to continue working on our own side projects to take what we learned today to the next level.
What's next for ShirtSwap
Adding a search option to explore beyond just a certain mile radius. iOS coming soon.
