Shir Chadash - Team 40

Inspiration

We wanted to build this project because we feel there is a lack of systems focusing on generating ideas for Jewish music and media and the usual algorithms (such as in Spotify) are not familiar enough with Jewish music and media in order to produce correct results.

What it does

Our program evaluates the user's preferences in Jewish music and Jewish podcasts and gives recommendations based on these results.

How we built it

Using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

Challenges we ran into

There is no solid Jewish media database on the own, so we had to create our own sample database. We also are 2nd semester students, so we were limited in our knowledge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating a beautiful user-friendly website that is clear and easy to use with a limited sample database and knowledge.

What we learned

Confidence in ourselves as we were faced with a problem and came up with a coding solution. Teamwork skills as we had to be able to work together even in a team limit.
