Inspiration
I've been teaching ship handling both for sailboats and warships for a little longer than the average person
What it does
Its a ship driving simulator that can be commanded via the keyboard and voice commands
How we built it
Unity Game engine and a lot of C#, JS, and 3d modeling
Challenges we ran into
Getting ElevenLabs API to communicate and accept my authentication.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The 3d Modeling on the ship I'm really proud of and how much I learned (I didn't know how to code in C# and just a bit for JS)
What we learned
So much, I learned how to use Unity, Scripting, network protocols and authentication.
What's next for ShipShape
Figure out more physics and the voice commands, hopefully over winter break I can get it multiplayer so we can have competitions with some of my friends in other units and give them an opportunity to learn some valuable skills before getting to the fleet.
