In light of COVID-19 the Loopie development team (Loopie is a peer-to-peer laundry service based out of Seattle, WA) decided to do something that would be able to help people. As we had already created a backend that leveraged existing logistics networks we decided to repurpose that code and allow anyone to ship things locally, on-demand. Shippie, will allow you to connect with your friends, and loved ones in an intimate way that doesn't risk exposure.

What it does

Your friend calls you. They are out of Toilet paper during COVID19. You want to send them a few rolls, but also don't want to risk exposure. No need to worry because Shippie is here to help! With Shippie easily schedule anything to be picked up from your location and delivered to one nearby. Your mom can now easily send you the leftovers from last night without leaving her house, too!

What we learned

It's important to adjust quickly, to give it everything and to refuse to lose. Burn the boats because there's no going back, and failure is not an option.
